Family Capital

Family Capital is an online publication covering global family enterprises, family offices and private investment groups. It's a small team competing in the same space as the Financial Times and major investment banks.

I refreshed the original design of the site to make it easier to navigate to certain content types by introducing a new header, navigation and colour-coded sections. I tightened up the typography and introduced a design system for consistency, creating a modern editorial feel that suits the finance sector without looking corporate. The brief was to professionalise and monetise what had started as a successful blog, so I also designed a combination of leaky and hard paywalls with subscription journeys built to convert without frustrating readers.

Alongside the editorial site, I redesigned the interface for FamCap Analytics, an interactive database of over 2,000 family investment group profiles, built in Laravel and tightly coupled with the main platform for unified sign-in.
