Design Week
I spent around 11 years at Standfirst as Design and Project Lead, working primarily across design and management. When the company acquired Design Week, the UK's leading design publication, I led the redesign for its relaunch. You can read what I had to say at the time of launch.
I created a new identity that updated the Bauhaus-inspired design language of the original print magazines for a digital-first experience. The capitalised wordmark gave both words equal prominence, maintaining a connection to the past while conveying more confidence and swagger. I refreshed the visual approach, introduced a design system for consistency and reworked user journeys, improving how readers move between editorial content and commercial offerings.
